Microsoft 365 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is the biggest Microsoft 365 focused conference in Finland. The next one is in May and this time it will be a two-day event. The second day is focusing purely on Power Platform.
Our own Timo Pertilä is part of two sessions at the event.
Case Helen – Low-code/no-code development and Power Platform
10.5. 11:30 – 12:10, Sali 1
Helen Oy started its journey towards low-code/no-code development in late 2021. The organization gained new momentum during the following summer and continues to accelerate with the help of Forward Forever collaboration. Along the way, Helen has been working to increase the understanding of the capabilities of the Power Platform and establish guidelines for how to use it.
Low-code vs. Pro-code
10.5. 15:40 – 16:20, Sali 1
Low-code/no-code tools like Microsoft Power Platform have significantly evolved in recent years, and they have also been adopted by large organizations. Citizen development seems to be spreading to more and more application areas. On the other hand, there are horror stories of failed projects, cost overruns, and loss of control.
In the closing discussion three experts, Timo Pertilä from Forward Forever, Markku Viljanen from Transval, and Jouni Heikniemi from Devisioona, reflect on the relationship between low-code development and pro-code development. They discuss questions such as:
- How does citizen development differ from professional development?
- What do they have in common?
- Where do the limits of citizen development tools come in, or are there any?
- What kind of expertise and support does low-code require compared to pro-code development
- What have we learned in different projects?
