2026 Well on the Way – Growth Continues

As I write this, roughly one third of 2026 has already passed. That makes it a good moment to look at what the first months of the year have brought and what seems to be ahead.

The first quarter was marked by growth and plenty of new faces at FF. Revenue grew by more than 20% compared to Q1 last year, and our continuous services have shown particularly strong demand. In March, we set a new record for monthly revenue, exceeding half a million euros for the first time.

We’ve welcomed six new people in 2026, including one returning colleague, which has been great to see. The team is now stronger than ever before.

Every other year we’ve travelled internationally to spend some time together. In May, we’ll be heading to Budapest, Hungary, for a long weekend of socialising, relaxing, and learning something new in the form of a hackathon day. Around two thirds of the company will also stay for the following week for a shared remote working week, our first experiment of this kind. That should be fun and interesting!

The World Around Us

The global economic (and political) outlook remains uncertain, and volatility is part of everyday decision-making for many of our customer organisations. While investment decisions are carefully weighed, companies still need to move forward with digital development to stay competitive. For us at FF, this underlines the importance of being pragmatic, value-driven, and close to our customers’ real business needs, helping them prioritise initiatives that deliver measurable impact even in a cautious market.

To be completely honest, when I stepped into this role around four years ago, I didn’t expect global politics to have such a direct influence on our customers’ decision-making. But here we are, still watching global supply chains and waiting to see when key shipping routes in the Middle East will fully reopen.

How Is AI Changing the IT Market?

AI is reshaping the IT landscape at a remarkable pace, changing both what can be built and how solutions are delivered. There are big questions around the future of IT consulting, the need for ready-made solutions, and how different vendors will compete in the AI race. Following all this might feel overwhelming at times, but that’s the world we live in now.

At the same time, we strongly believe that low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform will remain highly relevant. As AI capabilities are increasingly embedded into these platforms, they enable faster innovation, lower barriers to adoption, and better collaboration between business and IT. Ultimately, they make advanced technology more accessible and scalable than ever, while providing some extra layers of security, compared to for example purely vibe-coded custom solutions.

FF & Friends and Other Customer Events

Engaging with our customers beyond day-to-day projects continues to be important to us. FF & Friends, together with our other customer events, allows us to share insights, learn from each other, and discuss future challenges in an open and informal setting.

Planning for FF & Friends 2026 is progressing nicely, and I’m confident we’ll make it the best one so far (once again). I’m also excited to see whether we can put together additional easy-to-join, informal activities that bring our people and customers together.

I wish you all the best for the year ahead. If there’s anything we can do to help, just reach out, you know where to find us.

Peace out,

Olli
