Forward Forever at EPPC 2026

Forward Forever at EPPC

Europe’s biggest Power Platform event is coming up fast, and we’re going to be there. Two of our experts, Timo Pertilä (Power Platform Advisor) and Mikko Koskinen (AI & Copilot Lead), are taking the stage at the European Power Platform Conference (EPPC) in Copenhagen this summer.

Several other Forward Forever team members will be joining the event as well – hope to see you there!

What is EPPC?

The European Power Platform Conference is the premier event for the Microsoft Power Platform community in Europe. This year it runs 29.6. – 2.7.2026 at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, bringing together developers, architects, business decision makers, and makers for four days of sessions, keynotes, tutorials, and hands-on learning.

The program covers the full Power Platform stack – Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio, Power Pages, Dynamics 365, plus a heavy focus on AI and agentic technologies. Keynote speakers include Ryan Cunningham, Nirav Shah, and Leon Welicki from Microsoft. It’s the kind of event where the community actually moves forward, not just talks about it.

Timo Pertilä: Building Our Own Field Manager Solution: What Were We Thinking?

Timo’s session on Thursday 2.7. is built around a real case: a global manufacturing company needed to replace an outdated field service system, fast and on a tight budget. The team evaluated several commercial products, found none of them fit without significant compromise, and decided to build their own on Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate instead.

The session covers why they made that call, how the project was structured, what went well, what didn’t, and how long it took from idea to production. Concrete takeaways for anyone weighing build vs. buy on Power Platform.

Mikko Koskinen: Three Sessions on AI Agents – From Process to Governance

Mikko is presenting three times at EPPC, covering a practical arc from building AI-enhanced workflows to governing them at scale.

1.7.2026 Rethinking Governance Models for AI Agents is where things get harder. Traditional governance approaches were built for a different era, and with Agent 365, Entra Agent ID, and the Azure AI Foundry Control Plane in the mix, they no longer hold up on their own. This level 300 session looks at what enterprise governance for AI agents actually needs to look like now – agent identities, accountability, access control, and how lifecycle processes from onboarding to decommissioning need to adapt as deployments scale.

2.7.2026 Agent Flows Beyond Chat: Designing AI-Enhanced Business Processes focuses on embedding AI directly into existing workflows rather than wrapping it in a chat interface. The session is built around a real injury analysis solution that uses Agent Flows and Azure Logic Apps agent loops to improve investigation quality without displacing expert judgment – a useful reference point for anyone designing human-in-the-loop AI solutions.

Mikko also co-presents Agent Security and Governance 101 on 29.6. with Claire Edgson (Capgemini) and Tatu Seppälä (Sulava), a ground-up walkthrough of securing and governing agents across Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365, and Azure, from environment strategy to agent lifecycle and advanced scenarios like agent-to-agent and MCP.
